You’ve read the title of the video – and as much as I’d love to give an answer, the reality is – it depends.

And whilst that sounds like a wishy washy answer, it’s the truth, your situation is unique and as such, your borrowing capacity will be unique to you. Most people are more complex than they realise. The amount of variations in loan types – we are talking, Owner Occupied, Investment, Residential, Commercial, SMSF.

Then there’s the income side – PAYG, Allowances, Bonus, Commission, Self Employed

Then don’t forget all the different types of liabilities – Credit Cards, Car Loans, Overdraft, HECS Debt, Buy Now Pay Later

And then you have different deposit contributions, government schemes. As you can gather, Home lending has more to it than meets the eye.

My suggestion to anyone wondering how much can they borrow, either now or into the future, find yourself a great mortgage broker sooner rather than later – someone who will spend the time going through this important process with you. It will provide you with insight and instill confidence in your borrowing abilities.

And on that note, if you do want to speak to someone from our team, head on over to our “Meet the Team Page on our website”, schedule a call to get the process started.
